FrankMy thirty-three years investigating optimal health and human performance was no accident. As an aviator and professional airline pilot for 35 years, my personal health as a pilot has been challenged on a regular basis. The harsh environment of high altitude flight and long duration flights crossing multiple time zones make it imperative that the vigilant pilot seek all avenues to better health.

With a strong interest in becoming an astronaut, I studied all aspects of spaceflight, both technical and physiological.  I discovered Dr. Kenneth Cooper, a U.S. Air Force Flight Surgeon who is known as the father of aerobics, and helped to create the aerobic anti-deconditioning program for America’s astronauts for use in space. His pursuit of good health under extraordinary conditions helped cement my own path to longevity, vitality and optimum health.

Radiation such as UVA/UVB, gamma and x-ray, poor hydration, inadequate nourishment, sleep cycles, circadian rhythms, fatigue and stress are just some of the challenges that pilots face everyday.

My observant parents expressed fitness as a journey, and a destination, and planted firmly in my head “if you have your health, you have everything.” While caring and shaping the environment as a young Boy Scout, I also became passionate about organic gardening. Then I discovered another wellness pioneer, Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee, who taught how to “feed the cells” naturally and listen to Mother Nature.

On my mission to maintain optimal wellness, I learned the mechanisms of health and challenged conventions. I secured innovative ideas, breakthrough products, and programs that withstand the test of time. Whole Health Solutions is the result of thirty-three years of my work.
